Spencer Atelier is defined by quiet clarity, natural material expression, and a deep sensitivity to place. Spaces are composed to feel calm, grounded, and enduring—where craftsmanship is visible, details are purposeful, and architecture supports the rhythms of everyday living. about our founder
Zack Spencer founded Spencer Atelier after building a career focused on residential architecture and thoughtful home design. He earned his Master of Architecture from Montana State University in 2004 and began working with one of Montana’s premier custom residential firms, where he contributed to rustic vacation homes ranging from small one-room cabins to expansive lakefront compounds.
After relocating to Washington, Zack continued his work with several leading architecture firms in the Pacific Northwest and later gained valuable large-scale residential experience working with the nation’s largest home builder. Drawing from this diverse background, he established Spencer Atelier to focus on residential design, drafting, and visualization rooted in craftsmanship, clarity, and homes designed for lasting livability.
